The End of Copper NBN

NBN Co has announced its Targeted Upgrade Program, which means the older copper network is gradually being retired suburb by suburb, with a final transition target of July 2027.The great news? The physical upgrade to full Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) is free for standard installs, and it means much better reliability for your school's front desk.

A Quick Practical Note: Cable Paths and Conduits:
While NBN Co brings the new fibre connection straight to your school boundary for free, getting that physical cable through an established campus and into the main communications room sometimes requires a little prep work.Depending on your school's layout, you might need a new internal cable path or a specific pipe (called a conduit) installed to safely route the new line.
While any internal conduit or pathway installation on the school grounds is completed at the school's cost, it's nothing to stress about.Zero3 can fully manage this part for you. We can assess your existing pathways, arrange any necessary remediation, and ensure everything is ready to go well before the NBN technicians arrive.
